So....What did you do today?
I'm swimming in ......water...?...
My current project is to locate all rebates offered by utility companies for the purchase of energy saving devices. Since I have 50 properties in 40 water districts with 12 different electric providers you can only guess the amount of surfing and calling I've done today. I'm truly impressed with the number of rebates/savings offered for these products. Although I won't publish my findings I thought I would give people a heads up. Before you purchase any energy/water usage product - from: light bulbs, ceiling fans, fridges, toilets, shower heads, washing machines, paint, windows, etc, etc. ANYTHING! Call your local utility companies and see what they have to offer. They do crazy things like giving away free toilets and sending you coupons for $300 off washing machines. Free money baby! ....and you can feel good about your purchase.

Typical Malisa luck in a bar:
Random guy (to be noted as RG from this point): So do you come here often?
Me: No, never been here.
RG: It's a great place. I come here all the time. Whenever I can't sleep.
Me: Do you have problems sleeping?
RG: Well, just lately. See, I'm bi-polar and when I'm on my highs I don't like to take my meds.
Me: I see.
RG: I've been single for about 8 months now. I was with a girl that I loved and I caught her cheating on me.
Me: I see.
RG: WahWahWahWahWah (Snoopy teacher style)
Me: Uhhuh
Every once in a while someone who is trying to let me know they're interested in me will tell me I should become a writer. While I am seriously touched by the compliment I am a true realist (or at least I pretend I am) and equate this to my mom telling grandma how well little Malisa did on her spelling test. Or mom having me stand up on the hearth of the fireplace to recite "The Owl and the Pussycat" in front of all 50 cousins and 20 aunts and uncles. Or mom having me show the school librarian how great I can do a somersault. Mom was great. And so are the two of you that come back day after day. For a truly good read you should really visit here. Just remember to come back and visit every once in a while.

it takes two rounds with the vacuum to get the job done.
you walk around the parking lot for 5 minutes, passing your car twice, searching for your newly cleaned ride home.

For almost a year now I've wondered why one of my kids insists on peeing across the bathroom and into the corner at least once every other week. It wasn't until we got home late the other night and I followed him into the bathroom that I realized he was sitting on the toilet to pee and not making sure it was tucked in. Good grief! What have I created?
Mammoth was awesome! Snowboarding was so much fun. I didn't even come near to killing myself. We climbed Sun. It was nice to be on rock again. I still suck. Even more so than before, but it's easy to tell I need some practice to become a passable climber (still not very good, but one that doesn't need to make excuses).
I met some awesome people this weekend. Probably the first people I've felt a click with since the move out here. You know how some people just don't require any effort to get along with? People you could spend days with - or at least a day - and not feel cramped. That part of socializing has grown difficult for me but it was an easy companionship. It allows for true enjoyment of the setting to occur. Especially for spaz's such as myself who tend to be overly self-conscious. It was nice to just sit back and enjoy the ride.
