INSPIRATION TO LOSE THAT LAST FIVE POUNDS I just booked my flight to Honolulu. Nothing will scare me out of my cheese bagels except for the fear of being seen in a bikini. Especially if your going to be seen with a hot bod like this. I'm not used to being the bag of the group and it's not going to happen now.
When the hell did the price of yeast rise to $10/bottle. Three weeks ago it was $5.50 and now it's almost doubled. This grocery strike HAS to end. Give it up people. You are not specialized labor. You do not deserve double pay for the same job. You got lucky. You work for a major employer who can afford to pay you well. You HAVE benefits. What makes you think you deserve to get them for free????? I have to pay for my health care. If my employer is unable to make his profit margin I lose my bonus and most likely will not receive any raise at all - and I went to college. I'm the only person in my office that can do what I do. I am considered specialized. Passing the check out clerk test is not.
No one is winning here. The stores are losing money, which means they are less likely to be able to pay you what you want. I am losing money because your store has jacked the prices because they have to. Competitors have jacked their prices because they can. Weakest of all, you are losing. Even at $20/hour how could you have enough savings to survive for 4 months on $8/hour in Southern California?????
Yes, I realize you would gladly accept the employers offer but the darn union won't allow you and you're stuck. Fool!!!! What were you thinking when you JOINED the union. You were being greedy. Well, now see what you've done. Bad bad bad bad bad. See what happens when lawyers pray on the uneducated. This is why my children are required to go to college.
